Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to verify intent, grant authority, and read the proof — regardless of ability or the technology they use to get there.
1. Our commitment
Intended, Inc. is committed to making its website and the Intended platform accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We treat accessibility as part of building trustworthy software, and we work to conform to recognized standards, remediate issues we find, and respond promptly to problems reported to us.
2. Conformance status
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG defines requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, organized under four principles: content must be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust.
The Intended Console web application is "partially conformant" with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, meaning most of the content meets the standard but some parts do not yet fully conform. The specific criteria, their status, and remediation plans are documented in detail in our Accessibility Conformance Report (VPAT).
3. Scope of this statement
This statement applies to the Intended marketing website (intended.so) and the Intended Operator Console (app.intended.so). Our SDKs, CLI, and Terraform provider are code libraries evaluated against programmatic accessibility practices rather than WCAG 2.1; their documentation and examples target WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
4. What we do to support accessibility
- Build with semantic HTML — headings, lists, tables, landmarks, and ARIA roles — so structure is conveyed to assistive technology.
- Provide text alternatives for images and text alternatives or descriptions for interactive visualizations.
- Support full keyboard operation for interactive components, with visible focus and no keyboard traps.
- Do not rely on color alone to convey information; status is always accompanied by a text label.
- Maintain readable, resizable text that remains functional at 200% zoom and adapts to the viewport.
- Review accessibility as part of our development process and track known issues to remediation.
5. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the platform are not yet fully accessible. We are actively remediating the following, and each is tracked in our VPAT:
- Color contrast: nearly all text meets the 4.5:1 AA minimum, including chart legend and axis labels; some de-emphasized code-view chrome (source line numbers and comments) is still being raised to meet it.
- Dialog semantics: the pack-detail drawer and the global command palette are keyboard-operable, but are not yet exposed to assistive technology as modal dialogs (role, aria-modal, and focus trapping).

6. Feedback and reporting

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports and respond within 10 business days. If we cannot resolve an issue immediately, we will tell you our plan and timeline, and offer an alternative way to access the information or complete the task in the meantime.
7. Standards and assessment
This statement reflects our self-assessment of the Intended platform against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, most recently evaluated on March 1, 2026, and is reviewed as the platform changes. Our conformance work also maps to Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and EN 301 549 (which both incorporate WCAG 2.1 Level AA). We will update this statement and the accompanying VPAT as our conformance evolves.
